After undergoing root canal treatment, refrain from eating for at least 2 hours, or until the anesthesia has worn off. It is normal to experience some soreness following the procedure; therefore, avoid chewing on hard or chewy foods until the discomfort has diminished. This usually occurs within 7 to 10 days.
