Dental veneers typically require minimal reshaping of your tooth structure. It is important to care for your teeth between appointments to ensure the process is smooth and your treatment progresses as planned.
During both visits, a local anesthetic will be administered. Avoid eating for at least 2 hours or until the anesthetic has fully worn off. You may experience some tooth sensitivity, especially to cold, after the treatment. We advise you to avoid consuming hot or cold beverages for the first few days and use over-the-counter pain relievers as needed.
Temporary Veneers: Temporary veneers will be placed on your teeth after the first visit to protect the treated areas. While wearing these, avoid sticky foods and floss gently to prevent dislodging the temporary veneers. If the temporary veneer becomes loose, please contact our office so we can assist you with reapplying it.
Post-Placement Care: After your final veneers are placed, it may take a few days to adjust. If your bite feels uncomfortable or unbalanced after a few days, please reach out to our office for an adjustment. Continue your regular oral hygiene routine, brushing and flossing normally, to maintain a healthy smile and prolong the life of your veneers.
